**WE HOGWARTS.  IF YOU REBLOG THIS, YOU CAN HOGWARTS TOO**

As a thank you to all of our fabulous followers, Nate and I have decided to do a Harry Potter themed giveaway!

1st Prize- A wand of the winner’s choice from either the Noble Collection or The Wizarding World of Harry Potter totaling $40 or less!  This includes tens of character wands and many more wands of various woods!

2nd Prize- A Hogwarts House scarf of the winner’s choosing totaling $20 or less!  These can be from anywhere online, though preferably Noble, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, or Amazon.

The giveaway will end August 18, 2012 at 7:13 PM EST.  At that EXACT MOMENT, the stars will align, allowing Nathan and Boston to use a magical random number generator which will determine the winners.

We will ship anywhere on the planet, so feel free to enter!

RULES

1.  You must be following us by the time the giveaway ends to win.
2.  You may reblog this up to six times and like it once, for a total of 7 possible entries per person.  If you reblog more than this, you will be disqualified.
3.  You may not reblog this on a “giveaway blog”.  You must use your blog for more interesting things than that to win.  This is subject to our judgment.
4.  Be sure your askbox is open on the day the giveaway ends so we can contact you if you win.  If you don’t respond to our message privately in 2 days, we’ll have to go elsewhere for a winner.  Also, if you wish to enter, you must be comfortable disclosing your address to us so we can send you your prize.
5.  Our judgment on anything regarding this giveaway is final.

So have fun and May the Odds Be Ever in Your Favor! …

Damn, wrong fandom.

You guys have about one more day to enter!  Hurry up before it ends!

“A little simplification would be the first step toward rational living, I think.”
Beech with Unicorn Hair, 12 1/4 Inches, Reasonably Supple
“The true match for a beech wand will be, if young, wise beyond his or her years, and if full-grown, rich in understanding and experience. Beech wands perform very weakly for the narrow-minded and intolerant. Such wizards and witches, having obtained a beech wand without having been suitably matched (yet coveting this most desirable, richly hued and highly prized wand wood), have often presented themselves at the homes of learned wandmakers such as myself, demanding to know the reason for their handsome wand’s lack of power. When properly matched, the beech wand is capable of a subtlety and artistry rarely seen in any other wood, hence its lustrous reputation.”

“Oh, that clock! Old killjoy. I hear you. “Come on, get up,” you say, “Time to start another day.” Even he orders me around. Well, there’s one thing. They can’t order me to stop dreaming.”
Ebony with Unicorn Hair, 12 Inches, Surprisingly Swishy
“This jet-black wand wood has an impressive appearance and reputation, being highly suited to all manner of combative magic, and to Transfiguration. Ebony is happiest in the hand of those with the courage to be themselves. Frequently non-conformist, highly individual or comfortable with the status of outsider, ebony wand owners have been found both among the ranks of the Order of the Phoenix and among the Death Eaters. In my experience the ebony wand’s perfect match is one who will hold fast to his or her beliefs, no matter what the external pressure, and will not be swayed lightly from their purpose.”

"That´s the classic X-Men spirit, fellas. Never use a door when you can make one of your own."
Laurel with Unicorn Hair, 11 1/2 inches, Unyielding
“It is said that a laurel wand cannot perform a dishonourable act, although in the quest for glory (a not uncommon goal for those best suited to these wands), I have known laurel wands perform powerful and sometimes lethal magic. Laurel wands are sometimes called fickle, but this is unfair. The laurel wand seems unable to tolerate laziness in a possessor, and it is in such conditions that it is most easily and willingly won away. Otherwise, it will cleave happily to its first match forever, and indeed has the unusual and engaging attribute of issuing a spontaneous lightning strike if another witch or wizard attempts to steal it.”

“We are more than the parts that form us.”
Larch with Dragon Heartstring, 13 inches, Hard
“Strong, durable and warm in colour, larch has long been valued as an attractive and powerful wand wood. Its reputation for instilling courage and confidence in the user has ensured that demand has always outstripped supply. This much sought-after wand is, however, hard to please in the matter of ideal owners, and trickier to handle than many imagine. I find that it always creates wands of hidden talents and unexpected effects, which likewise describes the master who deserves it. It is often the case that the witch or wizard who belongs to the larch wand may never realise the full extent of their considerable talents until paired with it, but that they will then make an exceptional match.”

About Me

We're a Pottermore sorting blog! Give us a character you want sorted into a house in Harry Potter, and we'll go sort them for you in Pottermore. There's a wand test and a sorting test, and we'll tell you both results, and what the wand results mean. And we'll give you a little drabble about them getting sorted, if you like. We'll do any character from any fandom.
All wand wood descriptions belong to J.K. Rowling and were originally posted on Pottermore.com. Additionally, none of the art posted here belongs to either Nathan or myself unless we have explicitly said so.The urls for Nate and Boss's personal blogs are lordofthehons and andromedemiboy, respectively.
